Support Details for the Nakanishi Residence Project

Overview of the Implementation

In Phase I of this project (the current fundraising period), two structures within the Nakanishi Residence will be renovated:
1) the two-story house, and 2) the storehouse.
The funds collected in this round will be used for renovation costs to prepare the site for accommodation and Japanese Heritage–based cultural experiences.

Implementation Schedule

  • Support Application Period: December 3, 2025 – February 11, 2026
  • Construction Start (Planned): Early February 2026
  • Renovation Completion (Planned): January 2027
  • Return (benefits) Provision Start: Around March 2027

Use of Funds

Total Target Amount (incl. tax): 20 million yen

Breakdown:

  • Building renovation cost: 12.2 million yen
  • PR & operational costs (including Planet Labs fees): 7.8 million yen

If the target amount is exceeded:

  • Additional building renovations or equipment purchases

    • One complimentary night per year within five years of the property’s opening, with only cleaning and amenity fees required.

Risks & Refund Policy

  • In case of project delays
    • Even if the planned government subsidy is not approved, the project will not be canceled, as alternative financing such as bank loans will be used.
    • If construction is delayed, the timing of the return benefits may also shift. Any schedule changes will be communicated in advance.
  • Cancellation / Failure to reach target
    • All-In Method: The project will proceed even if the target is not met.

Communication with Supporters

  • Quarterly progress reports (in both Japanese and English) will be emailed.
  • Events and site visits for supporters will be held as needed.
